December

I just want to disappear

Under the turquoise waves

But it is December here

And I gave my life away

To a girl with yellow eyes

That sparkle like the sun

Her pull was like the tides

Until she was gone and done

I loved her more than my own life

And gave her all of it

I never thought she’d give me this strife

This heartbreaking thing I live

I hear her laugh upon the wind

And see her eyes in the sky

But these broken bones won’t mend

And these scars I have to hide

I just want to disappear

Under the turquoise waves

But it is December here

And I gave my life away

To a girl with yellow eyes

Like the moon and stars at night

I wonder if she cares when I cry

Now that I have lost my flight

She carried my heart

With loving hands

And left the deepest mark

Than even these sparkling sands

I just want to disappear

Under the turquoise waves

But it is December here

And I gave my life away
