The Deception
I'm bothered because by this time you would think we would be honored/
Honored enough to say we made it out of slavery, made it out of Jim crow/
but no, our generation is so cold, us blacks make fun of each other because our skin tone is light or black and bold.
We still don't understand that the skin complexion doesn't matter
What tics me off is that blacks still thinks thats ALL that matters
I witnessed everyday on social networks or in person
"Lightskin Girls are prettier, and darkskin girls are worthless"
Why can't we get it together, instead of turning our backs on one another
There's more black on black crime then any other murder
What tics me off is that we're the ones getting laughed at
"black people are always in jail, they're so ghetto"
is there a way we can get pass that ?
I' wish there were more leaders that can't change that
cause lately our black community needs an arrangement
