Deception

Deeply happy in this gloomy world.

The sunflowers and the dreariness often brings my spirit up.

Hope is now hopelessness.

The depression caused by light.

It's when I see that face surface.

I see it surging through the plagues that surround me.

It’s when I lust for you.

Not too long before I stood in misery.

Shortly after your presence leaves me

I swim laps in affliction.

Misdirection and curses are my tragedies.

Lying to myself will be my hubris.

Fooling myself I could stand in your glory.

Fortunes can turn to diseases in a blink of an eye.

Never in my wildest dreams could I of foreseen this.

One's soul is saved, once one notice's the pain.

The relief one think's you might get.

Courage is all you need.

Yet a courage I dare not invoke.
