The Decietful Truth
Lies sting as they enter my soul. Deception eats away at my heart until there is nothing more. I wait for hope but she never comes. She promises me strength but my soul is too desolate to agree.
Here I lay at the door of infallibility, waiting for someone to let me in. But there is deceit again gnawing at my conscious. He tells me of hidden friendship that can never be replaced.
The battle has begun and I and deceit are tied in the first round. He hits me with a left, but something inside me finds his weak spot.
I begin to afford truth that flows like a river. He backs down but I cannot cease. I know your lies and they know me well too. They have filled me with derision and I could not be rescued.
Deception calls it quits and victory shakes my hand. I have won the battle with truth as my friend.
