The Decision

I really can’t decide Which route that I should go. So many options on the line. Which one to pick? I don’t know. I could go outside and play, Smell flowers, go run. It’s a hot summer day So I would get tired in the sun. Next I would get inside Go cool off next to the vent. A nice cool drink would be really nice I’d get it myself if I wasn’t so dependent. After cooling off for a spell, I’d lope off to find a good spot Making it comfy so I can sleep well Thankful I’m no longer hot. Or maybe I should instead Look around for a good toy. It would take up all thoughts in my head And bring me incredible joy. After quite some time And my fun starts to lack, I will start to pull it apart Until Mom takes it, telling me to relax. All I have left is one thing, A third option that still stands. If I rile up my big sibling My day will no longer be bland. We can run around the house Causing trouble as we go, Like ruining our mom’s blouse And getting her so mad her head will blow I really can’t decide Which route that I should go. So many options on the line. Which one to pick? I don’t know. All this thinking hurts my head So I think I’ll get some rest. I dream happy dreams never to be said And wag my tail between my legs.
