Decisions

My walls speak, but I don’t understand, I should have realised beforehand. They spoke, and I responded with a scream, Please let me keep some of my self-esteem! Guns loaded, now’s your chance. But I thought of my family, and friends, The thoughts put me in a trance. My life flashed before my eyes, One, I was learning to ride my first bike. Two, I pitched my first strike. Three, beats me, I couldn’t make it out, at least I thought I couldn’t. I woke up, I’m in my bed, how’d I get in my bed? I look around, my walls, are covered in blood. What could have caused this bloodshed? I look down, it’s me, I’m dead, I must’ve actually put the bullet in my head.
