Decompose.

Decompose.

at seven years old you spat in my face

your acidic saliva consuming my skin

leaving only the fragile bones beneath my remaining flesh.

stripping my individual layers with your vicious threats

I began to deteriorate

rot

Decompose.

your contagious illness clung to my bones

begging for another chance.

“I love you, kiddo,” you say

as a foul stench escapes you

your diseased words take grasp of me

for I am diseased too.
