A Dedication
"Half a league, Half a league"
"Half a league onward".
I have traveled 'cross the earth's face,
I have run, and nearly finished the race.
A life of daring, a life of strength,
A life worth living, a life of grace.
For all the obstacles that have come my way,
I have found the will to stay,
Stay good, stay true, stay full of love,
For all these things are from above.
One life on earth, here and gone,
One life in heaven, for which I long.
All the riches of gold,
All the prizes of silver,
None can compare to the magnificent Giver.
He Gives, He Provides, He Takes Away,
Because he is God, and I will meet him today.
He is the Way, the Truth, and the Light,
And because of him, I am able to fight.
To fight and to conquer,
To emerge victorious,
To Finish my Battle,
How Mighty, How Glorious,
And to realize that,
It is done, It is finished
I have won the prize,
I have done what was wished,
I have bowed, I have kneeled,
But now I celebrate on my battlefield.
And here I stand
And here I sing
"Where, O Death, is your victory?"
"Where, O Death, is your sting?"
