The Deep

The truth is love is a ransom

Drinks make her cute while money makes him handsome

People show love and treasure looks and dress

But the real treasure is what lies within ones chest

People don’t look to deep any more

In the shallow waters where they tend to go

In those deep waters where love can be found

I guess no one is scared to swim but everyone’s afraid to drown

Maybe it takes time for courage to seep in

So anxious hearts can travel on over to the deep end

I know things get rough on over in the deep end

Just hold on tight when your boat starts sinking

Just remember love is something to explore

You never know what’s lurking on that dark ocean floor

So swim out the shallow and get off the beach

Because only in the deep is where love is in reach
