Deep
Deep Poem by D’Vante Jerrell Chapman a.k.a. The Black Love Poet
I had a 20/20 vision last night of you ghosting me
But your spirit’s where it’s supposed to be
Jumped rope to get to the other side and, when I landed, I was successful
Guess that’s the circle of hope wide as a billy goat now draw that image with a pencil
I’m bed, bath, and beyond this world
I can see love with my naked eye, I know that’s how Sharniece Dodd became my girl
Standing on a wing and a prayer
That’s right I can fly up to eternity and the word of the Lord is my airfare
I carry power in my heart
Her beauty is a work of art
Crafted from the potter’s hand
Used to be lost but now I understand
You are my dream come to life
Everything I sacrificed
Was worth it
Because you are in my life and I love you, I love your kat, and if I could, I would wrap you up in a special kit
Serve that strawberry shortcake on a platter
Drink yo coke bottle like it’s water
I thirst for you like the last drop of rain
My dick is a power tool can you stand the pain
Of getting drilled
I’ll murda da pussy going in for tha kill
Rest assured, I got you
So let me rock you ta sleep baby you know I’m tha truth
This ain’t just a love song or a lullaby to put that ass ta sleep
This is lyricism at it’s finest that dove in the ocean and swam deep
