Deep in the Ground

And so they were laid

Words never to be written

Songs never to be sung

Crimes never to be committeed

Kindness never to be shown

Deep in the ground

Out of sight, out of mind

Older than the first king

Veiled in all souls

Yet nothing can hide forever

Deep in the ground

Many have surrendered

Many have fought

Many have claimed purity

Many know vice

Yet no one claimed it

Deep in the ground
