Deepened Smile
I had a smile, that showed for many miles.
When the time truly came to smile.
It left me in pain for quite awhile.
Deep, deep down. There was hidden a frown.
Feeling the pain, come again and again.
My insecurities always getting the best of me.
I didn’t want people to see.
How my deepened smile faded away from me.
That smile I miss so much. That smile that gave out a warm touch.
Minutes that turned into hours, hours that turned into days.
Days into months, months into years.
That this suppression of this depression.
Brought me down.
Kept me on the ground.
There was a time when life was a happy place.
After that time depression was the case.
