Deeper Meaning

Never suspect what’s only superficial

The façade is only the initial

For what lies beneath is truly diverse

Which could lead you inside a path quite worse.

Every poet has their deeper meaning

As they wish for their audience’s gleaning

From their journeys and through their suffering

So that a lesson is there offering. 

So next time you sit down to read pieces

Look deeper than the words in the creases

Because the world contains much to exchange

For what you absorb could leave you with change.

And as you’re out there in the universe

Remember to reflect, it could be worse.
