Defered Dreams
What happens to dreams that are defered?
Dusty dreams never put into word
Drying like rasins in the sun
Festering like sores that run
Stinking like rotten meat
Crusting over like an old sugery sweet.
A dream set aside because the opportunity was not there
Set aside because life isn't fair
Not acted upon because there was no hope
Because there was so much that we couldn't cope
Do dreams that are deferd explode?
Do they sag like a heavy load?
Or do they drift away on the breeze?
Vanishing into nothingness because we didn't believe.
