Deficincies on Paper

Dear Younger Me,

The birthday card and the scented flower won't work,

she likes the grown man with a job You know, the pharmacy clerk?

Don't blame Her for liking what she likes,

she sees You socializing, don't You think she has the right?

Don't be one of many guys that attempts to chase Her,

Play your cards correctly, there's a slim chance that You replace Her

Don't attempt to control, what You cannot handle,

Her fierce and secluded nature will leave You shattered and dismantled.

Acknowledge that Her ability to empathize is unmatched,

Two peas in a pod, and the surface isn't Scratched.

Her arguments occur often and will fuel a different side,

your frustrations are useless, unless Her paragraphs lied.

Her ability to paint the picture in Her perspective rivals the likes of Da Vinci,

If Her creative ability is immensive, why present Her something flimsy?

Her vibe and Her presence is undoubtedly strong,

Listen when she's right and focus when You're wrong.

You were good at chess but try not to think ahead,

You will remember what You do but won't remember what You said.

young man, focus on You, keep working on your craft,

why build a boat, then sail away, then jump up on the raft?

I do think its peculiar to combine love and heartbreak in a letter,

Love is ADDictive, but I hope You use it better.

Fix it, before You need a suture,

Sincerely,

You from the future
