Define Beauty

There are over 7 billion people in the world

But how many of them are beautiful? Suitable? Easy on the eyes, or even just

Viewable?

How many women go beyond the usual?

Surpass the standards that tend to be delusional

Flawless skin and hair

And even perfect cuticles

Only to be trashed and disposed

It’s really just

Unusual

How many men are actually men?

Who rank a perfect 10 and even spoil you every now and then

With presents that are meant to prevent the argument of how time is really spent

So what does beauty really mean?

Does it just depend on our genes or if we wear the right jeans

Or maybe your eyes have to be green like this girl on this magazine

Cover

That makes you wonder and ponder the question of

What does beauty really mean?

And

Where does beauty even start?

Why do we search for beauty everywhere

But never search the heart?

Why do we go to great lengths

Just to find the strength to call ourselves

Beautiful?

So what do we have to prove that we feel the need to remove what’s disapproved by the rest

And stress ourselves in an effort to be the best of the best

Who dress and undress to impress the norms of the west

Yet fail to address the fact that we are obsessed with our oppressors

Who are on a quest to suppress our ability to progress

So I guess it’s time we invest

In a little self-interest

Because to express any less suggests that

We need to confess whatever is possessing us to believe that we are not

Blessed

What does beauty really mean?

I mean

What does beauty even represent?

What percent beautiful do we need to feel content

And finally be independent enough to resent the need to be a 10

And free ourselves from those who spoil us every now and then

With presents instead of being present

So beauty means not  what’s on the screen

Or the label on our jeans

Or even the girl in the magazine whose eyes are insanely green

No, my kings and queens

Beauty isn’t even what you see

You see

True beauty lies within the heart

An art that sets you apart from the usual

And that, without a doubt, is what makes you

Absolutely beautiful
