define diana (Written: 5/30/2009)

i'm not just another pretty face
i dream, i scream, i run to race
i have my head up in the skies
and goals waking to rise
with eyes mixed of different blues
this face in a crowd you will never lose
but then there's lies and pain
tears falling like the rain
a smile that can brighten your day
i am the seventeen year old who loves to play
colors are the beauty of art
see this world is one big canvas full of heart
i am nor big nor small
a girl who shields her secrets with a wall
i'm weak, i'm strong, i'm all of the above
but most of all, i'm the knight in red shining armor willing to love.

I've always kept whatever I wrote to myself, stored away. The reason being is because back in high school I used to write every year for the literary garland. And finally I became a senior and wanted to join their new, "Creative Writing" class. You had to go through an interview, the funny thing is they told me, "I don't think this is for you." Irony. In the end they ended up picking all their favorite students and being a shit class with nothing productive. I've been out of high school for almost 6 years now and I don't remember much of what I've learned, because they never taught me anything useful. I like being able to express myself in more ways than one, writing is just one of them. Fashion is a daily one.
