Define Love

Your dark blue eyes

deeper than the sea.

Your voice on the phone

as i'm falling asleep.

Hanging out on the weekends;

listening to The Cars,

dirty blankets and wooden baskets,

paper telescopes and the night stars.

Our matching candy-machine rings,

my hand inside yours.

My obsession with Nina Nesbitt;

your obsession with The Doors.

Spending time in Midtown,

staying out late.

Laughing when you fall

as i teach you to skate.

Annoying you at work;

you telling me to leave.

Your manager laughing and smiling,

saying i'm his biggest pet peeve.

All of these things

are so simple and naive;

but i thought i should let you know

they mean the world to me.
