Define Love

It's the first heartbeat, first kick, first breath, first cry. You had me at hello and never had to try. The first time you sat up, crawled, and grinned. For you sweet boy, I'd do it all again. First words, first steps , you're growing too quick. Between the bumps, the bruises, and every nick. Define love, I can. I fell in love when I held your tiny hand.

I am first a mother. I live in a small town out in the country where its peaceful. I enjoy listening to all types of music, i enjoy gardening. Love anything that has to do with art. Drawing, coloring, sculpting, painting, small wood projects, making wreaths, poetry...etc. to sum it all up, I'm really a kid at heart and love to do things that i love.

Really this poem is about my son after he turned one year old, who was born a micro preemie at 1 lb 10 oz and 12 in Long. He's now 8 years old and you never would have known he was that tiny.
