Definition

"unconditional: not subject to any conditions"

according to its definition

healthy love always has a mission

to understand and care

to transcend differences

to be thoughtful and fair

and to know what the difference is

between loyalty and bondage

it's not easy to acknowledge

when the way you're being treated

is twisted and harmful

even though you think his attitude

is charming and cool

love wouldn't demand you be home at a certain hour

or refuse to unleash any of its power

to you, the other 50% of the relationship

love shouldn't take you on a bad trip

it should feel like an every day vacation

not your biggest source of frustration

it's a sublte act of salvation

and a very simple application

of the golden rule

allow me to remind you

how would you feel

if they did the things that you do?

perhaps love can't be confined to a one sentence definition

but i've stated what it is not, and what it is

let it come to fruition
