Definition of Me
My name is Tabitha, but Tabby is what I say.
"Like the cat?" people ask as I smile and laugh.
Courtesy of the gene pool, I stand six feet tall, like a baby giraffe.
Blonde hair, blue eyes, and humorous to only me.
I stand tall and proud, confident in myself.
Amazing people every day, accumulating knowledge like wealth.
Working hard at a job I love, a unique job some might say.
Managing a dress shop on the weekends, sometimes on week days.
But, that's only the outside.
The inside is what really counts.
Making friends, being kind and trying to avoid self doubt.
Laughing, smiling, and learning lots.
"Treat others as you would want to be treated."
It's the Golden Rule.
That's what I was born and raised on.
NEVER make others look like fools.
That's not all of me, however.
Sometimes fearful and occasionally blunt.
Truthful and honest, always up front.
Bad with confrontation, but it doesn't happen a lot.
Occasionally nervous, but more often not.
A mess of contradictions, as one can probably see.
But even without filters, and in all of my might
I am me. And that's completely alright.
