Definitions.

Silence, abstinence, sustainability

Definitions? Anyone?

Silence

the state of abstaining from speech

I practice regularly as my words cut through steel and penetrate hearts since i have never been the one to muffle my assessments but now i have stopped, shoved my thoughts into a box even though i know people have no problem deflowering mine

Abstinence

the practice of restraining oneself from indulging in something

something, something i struggle with daily as i try not to fall upon the acts of sex tempting as it may be since the attraction men have towards me and me towards them continues to get stronger as i grow in age

Sustainability

the ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level

yet from what they tell me that level is unreachable never to be touched by someone of my type

someone of my status

as i’m only a pup never an alpha even if my genes say different

Abuse

the act of treating someone with cruelty or violence

something done to me yet never done unto anyone from my hand

battle scars left upon my mocha skin shine bright yet they are not diamonds even though they were shaped and molded to fit my shell of a person no longer worthy of being recognized as part of me

Mentality

The derogatory characteristic attitude of mind

something people take for granted yet not finding it worth while when it is not beneficial for them to get into the seams of some girls clothing or the denim of a man’s jeans

Extinction

No longer having living members

Something that scares me after seeing so much of my family leave this earth they always tell me they are in a better place yet no one truly knows what comes after seeing the light. They say death is a gift of peace, something to stop your suffering yet i couldn’t seem to stop the tears as my nana passed, or Angie B my cousin, Debbie my aunty, Caleb my best friend. I can’t stop myself from blaming Eve for our imperfections and causing death to be,

Unity

Being united

How i feel everytime i step onto this stage, everytime we come together to discuss a mutual love for this craving, that formed my peace , mended my attitude, maintained my level of vanity second definition look it up, melted my shell, and broke my silence.

This is what it is to be a part of something real. Something Alive. Thank you.
