Defnition: Poetry

Location

It sounds like poetry,
Gushing through the wind
Soaring through existence,
Above noise, in quiet.

The sound of poetry,
Rumbling louder than before,
In the heart and mind’s heart,
Unleashing power.

Verses pass by, in slow flight,
No one catches them,
Because their eyes are sensitive,
Too sensitive for verses’ bright colors.

Can you listen?
It is the sound to hear,
This peace drawing near,
Definition; poetry.

Sonnets scatter bare beaches,
Until ocean waves leave,
Taking them away, far,
Never again seen to be.

Voices lost or undiscovered,
Broken away and crumbled,
Then buried in dirt, dust covered,
Only to be found eventually.

Can you listen?
It is the sound to hear,
This peace drawing near,
Definition; poetry.

It is in Earth, trees and all,
Bringing hope, or
Otherwise simple thought,
For food in which to eat.

An acquired taste is a poem,
Deep like apple pie,
Some can relish it’s flavor,
Some might choke and die.

Poetry is sometimes serious,
Often with real or metaphoric humor
Strong illusion, never delirious,
Just take it as it comes.

Can you listen?
It is the sound to hear,
This peace drawing near,
Definition: poetry.
Definition: Us.
