Deleted

I'm deleting you One memory at a time And I'm hating you more and more In each photograph There's another lie I should have known by the way My smile was too big in every picture By the not-a-doubt feeling in my chest I should have seen in coming By your tight grip on my hands By the passionate way you'd kiss my lips I should have known by the way Everything felt so perfect And how not a thing went wrong Until it all did No, I couldn't have known There was no hint Not even a trace of it I couldn't have known that this was to be it But photo by photo Lie by lie I'm pulling you from my chest And you may scrape and claw scars on my heart That will never heal the same... But you're deleted either way.
