Delight in Love
Delight in Love
In error, I believed in the falseness of her words.
I have given everything of myself for the delights of love.
She has stuck me with her arrow, from the heavens above.
But no delight did I receive.
Did I not love you?
Did I not give you my all?
Again it seems her words of truth where mistaken.
Was not everything else forsaken?
For the delights of your touch.
Was everything I had still not enough?
For the persuasiveness of your kiss.
For those single moments of bliss.
Those moments where I felt you where mine…
Those moments I had given you me.
Did you not give me the Delights of love?
Was it all make-believe?
Delight in love
and she will surely make you suffer.
For she has numerous other lovers.
