Demands
This is my form of rebellion/ wake, eat, work, sleep/ but here is my confession/ they do not know the stress runs so deep/ education is a list of demands/ do this or do that/ we are but clay in their hands/ change this and change that/ where we before found release/ has now become another of those places/ where we cannot be at peace/ nowhere to go to fill the spaces/ fun has long since become a chore/ it is nowhere to be found/ our life isn't enough to give anymore/ instead we run ourselves into the ground/ food is no longer remembered/ sleep takes up too much time/ powerless we are rendered/ to those we tell we are fine/ but as hair and weight are lost/ we do what we are told/ our personalities turn to frost/ unforgiving and cold/ this is what i wish i could say/ to the people who accuse me/ of doing but not doing well/ the things they throw my way/ so as for what I would change/ it would be what other people make me/ that i do not wish to be
