The Demise and Rise

It changed the blacks. From being treated whack. They were for decades treated wrong. Forced to work and sing songs. They acquired no pay. And were forced to work and sweat all day. They were whipped and beat. And seen as no more then pieces of meat. They were treated with hate. And many suffered a deadly fate. Thousands were lynched. With ropes tied in a sinch. But then something changed. The new respect they found was strange. From Martin Luther King. To how Elvis began to sing. They were no longer forced down. Their way of life had completely turned around. The way they were treated was new. And with that we bid racism adieu.
