Demon in my Room

Everything shakes.

My eyes flash.

I wake up.

You walk past.

Shadow figure,

With elegant grace.

My heart bangs,

Against my ribcage.

Fear strikes.

I cry, I sob, I scream, and sigh.

Its 3 a.m. no one’s around,

To hold me and calm me down.

Too scared to look in the mirror,

I turn on the light.

I’m on my own to get through the night.
