Demons

What do my demons look like?

Beautiful, appealing on the outside,

they tempt even saints.

They steer off the path those

who have the smallest complaints.

Finding these small holes in faith

they start their campaign,

overtaking a mere child

while his spirit is in chains.

I see these monsters work

(with their hand-saw and their restraints)

to tear open a person's soul

without one turn of the stomach

or tremble of the hand,

not feeling the scarcest bit faint.

Beautiful, appealing on the outside

but relentless and cruel,

uncaring of whom is found

as he can be used as a tool.
