Demons

I have demons trapped inside my head.

They tell me I deserve all the trouble.

They say that I should be gone and dead.

I ponder all the words I have read,

But I know the reason for my struggle:

I have demons trapped inside my head.

There is only one path where I tread.

Some say the ways that exist are double.

They say that I should be gone and dead.

I see only one option ahead

To spite the voices of my mind’s rubble.

I have demons trapped inside my head

That tell me my life is but a thread.

All of these thoughts that I fail to juggle-

They say that I should be gone and dead.

Because of these thoughts written in red,

I will live my life inside this bubble.

I have demons trapped inside my head

They say that I should be gone and dead.

I used to hate poetry, but now I have a growing interest in the topic. I am trying to improve as much as possible, as I feel that it is something that may make my education easier down the road. Constructive criticism is always welcome.
