Demons by my Side

Whispers in my ear
Tell me nto to fear
Grabbed by the wrist
A warm twist
Their smiles imperfect, crooked and mean
yet that is not what she seen
What she seen was hope
A new way to cope
A new perspective, a new way to think
A new life she could repaint
Surrouding her they took her by the hand
And fled her away to a new land
You call them demons, evil and mean
Filthy little souls, unclean
But as an army by her side they stood
Read to fight, when noone else would

My poems reflect the feelings I had during my abusive relationship, where I was held against my will and abused. The feelings are raw and real.
