Denial

When my deviations could pierce silent ears

As my heart began to break

My eyes flowing tears

down my frail cheeks

My bent thoughts,

circling around in my head

Not understanding what could have went wrong

Am I playing the same tune, to a monotone song

Like a dagger being thrown from behind

Not knowing who resided on the other end

Dreams taken at the drop of a dime

I cry because the lows could be so cold

I might bend a little bit, but I do not fold

If you see my tears just let me be

There’s nothing to see

Knowing now the cause of my denial

As I walk down the aisle

Praying for a clear mind

A clear heart

Bearing the heart of a heavy soul

Of how this world could be so cold

It won’t ever change

It will always be the same

Those who are only worried about themselves

No slight thought about others future and aspirations

Hanging in the balance

Amongst your grasp

You…….let……..go
