Denial.

Heartbreak didn't tear me apart. It didn't paralyze me.

It didn't cripple me to tears each night.

Instead, heartbreak thrust me

into a world of memories and pretend.

I played it dumb, and didn't let it go.

People I knew would ask me on the streets

would ask me why I still wore his shirt.

"Because for me, it isn't over."

Call me dumb.

Call me stupid.

I don't care.

I will always be his, even if he isn't mine anymore.
