Departure
As the lips that once told me they loved me
Claim to no longer care
I try to find a way to stop my tears
As they fall freely to the floor
As the eyes that once looked deeply into mine
Will no longer look my way
I wonder if there was ever a time
When those eyes truly cared
As the arms that kept me out of harms way
Now just push me away
I wonder why I tried so hard
And why I ever bothered to love you
