Departure

I’m pushing––

an imaginary force forward.

Lights have been

turned off, completely

off.

Was it me?

There’s nothing glamorous

about aloofness. I hate it.

Run from her kisses, love it.

She did it for me,

lost herself in the chaos

of men,

stories of her youth.

Put on a dress and have fun.
