depression

why am I so weird

why am I so strange

the same question I keep asking

but no answers remain

why can't I remember. Am I sane?

When I'm physically numb

mentally nowhere, I'm sorry for my vain

attempts at something.

And even silence has stopped comforting me

only mute memories that vaguely bear life

live in my head like ancient film fossilized

and treasured. My treasures.
