Depression
They say depression
is a literal black cloud
leaching the light
out of our pure white souls
Yet I disagree
Our souls are both white and black
A beautiful swirl
A yin and yang
And depression is their overmixing
When white and black
Come to close
Mix too much
Lifeless grey is formed
Neither white nor black
Neither alive nor dead
