Depression

A thing hiding in the back of your head,

It seems like this everlasting tunnel

You keep falling but never hit the ground.

You don’t control what it says

You don’t control what it does

Because it’s not you.

It’s a hollowed out version of yourself,

And in that hollow shell is a dark cloud.

Now in that dark cloud

You can’t see.

You’re a robot with something controlling you.

The spin you

Make you feel dizzy

Make you feel sick.

Make you feel like you aren’t good enough

Or sick enough.

Help is something out of the question.

You don’t want others to feel the pain

So you wear a reflection.

You learn like a sociopath. To feel emotion

Observing others, I need to pretend!

You pretend to feel happiness

Because you’ve lost sight of it.

Because in that dark cloud you can’t see what is truly

In front of you.

You don’t see the truth,

You don’t believe yourself or others.

But how could you when you’ve been badly beaten.
