Depression! Anxiety! OH MY!
A freshman girl sitting there,
She hides behind her long dark hair.
Dreading the long hours ahead,
She just wants to crawl into bed.
If you could see into her mind,
You would see that she is in a bind.
Suffering from a mental illness
Is it a sign of weakness?
Depression?
It’s nothing but mass amounts of procrastination.
Anxiety?
Do not push her past her boundary.
It’s sophomore year.
She is no longer in fear.
She can walk down the halls
And feel nothing at all.
This is better than her normal anxiety attack.
The only difference was she had joined track.
This seems strange
She only made a small change.
Depression?
It’s nothing but procrastination.
Anxiety?
Where is her boundary?
Now, this long dark haired girl is a junior.
She wants to become an author.
It is the most strenuous time of school,
How is she so cool?
She has a multitude of friends.
She never wants this to end.
Her anxiety is still there,
Everyone seems to care.
Depression?
No, she only has fun!
Anxiety?
Did it flee?
She cannot wait,
It is time for her to graduate!
She wanted to die,
But she is very much alive!
Conjuring her journey,
To know she is worthy!
She wants to help others just like her
Even if it is only with litterature.
Depression?
No, it is procession!
Anxiety?
No, it is serenity!
