Depression is a Cage of Fear
Every morning, a quarter to ten,
I look out my window and pretend.
I dream of all that we could be,
If only courage lyed in me.
My dear, if only you knew,
How often I dream of getting to you.
But my love, I am afraid,
For my mind has already been made.
Yes, I am a coward,
With only tears am I showered.
Depression, a cage of fear,
Oh, my darling, how my heart is trapped here.
So every morning, a quarter to ten,
I look out my window and pretend.
Maybe one day will my hand find yours,
For now I only recall dreams from the night before.
