The pain started in his head, bouncing between his ears like a bullet richocheting through a tunnel.

Soon enough the pain slithered down his throat and into his lungs, clinging and growing like a fungus.

It spread, attacking like a cancer. He knew what was wrong but he couldn't say, wouldn't say.

But they found out, soon enough, and that was when his parents realized that one could die of sadness.

This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
