Depression my Mentor

Depression you were always by my side

in the closet where i chose to hide.

You came to me in the night

though you can not be seen in plain sight.

In the mind every day

whispering thoughts i dare not say.

But it is you i have silenced

this war between us was never violent.

I thank you for all your truth

you made realize at my youth.

I am as happy as i can be

I am the real me.
