Depression Whispers...

It whispers in your ear

Like a siren cry

“Lets play

I want you

Wont you be mine?”

You want to give in

To succumb to its crimson bliss.

Temporary

Cold

Bliss

It calls one more time

“You know it will be alright

Just let me take the lead

You know you want to play”

So you do

Cold Hard Blade against

soft warm skin

then it whispers again

“Lets play this game,

Like old friends

Once Twice

again

Again

AGAIN

Close your eyes

Feel the ache

Watch it flow

You know what happens when you play with me

Shhh don’t cry

Its fine

Listen baby

Just one last line

You know where

Come with me

Take my hand

Make that cut

I'll save you baby

And this will be our

FINAL

game.”
