Deprivation

Can't breathe, need air,
Hands shaking, almost there.
Rushing, pulling, running,
The taste, simply stunning.

Too late, sides hurt,
Now lying, failing, in the dirt.
Approaching feet, lost chances,
Falling water, raindrop dances.
