In the Depths of Geotechnics
Beneath our feet, the earth does lie, A world of secrets, low and high. In rocks and soil, the stories told, Of ancient times and forces bold.
Granite strong and limestone fair, Each with tales beyond compare. Sediments layered, compacted tight, Whispering of ages, day and night.
Engineers with keen insight, Probe the depths, both day and night. With drills and tests, they seek to find, The secrets of the earth's design.
Foundations deep, they must secure, To build the structures that endure. From soil's embrace to bedrock's might, They craft the future, firm and bright.
In clay and sand, in silt and stone, The geotechnic truths are shown. A dance of science, art, and skill, To harness earth's enduring will.
So here's to those who delve below, To understand what makes things grow. In geotechnics, they find the key, To build a world for you and me.
