Derek Walcott, you're perfect.

Take time. Give pause.

Find your appreciation.

Appreciate the cause.

The little things in life,

rarely take us by storm.

Before the lull of the mundane

becomes the deafening norm.

Thanks to you, Mr. Walcott,

I ease my bout with strife.

Here let me sit

and feast on my life
