Desert Sand

a bottle of water

broken upon desert sand

begins silent night

one more dissapears

separates a family

on the way to work

potential student

interrupts education

for lack of papers

wind touches tree tops

no option than picking fruit

job is life sentence

tell me if we will

tread the same path they once did

to become equal
