Desert Sands and Dreamlands.

she danced in the winds
and held her dreams to her chest
light as a feather her hair became a lethargic birds nest
it settled in her head and calmed all her thoughts
she floats now in the dessert
and is thirsty for wet lands
salty drops of rain come from her cloudy eyes
the lavender sky holds diamonds & demons
and the devil tells her lies
shes sorrounded with quick sand
the oceans ebb and flow;
in a very quite type of never ending land
you can walk in it for miles
the moons gleam brightly
and the sun beams smile
the stars all hold a thousand wishes
& the grass is nothing but an emerald blade
she stays in her land
with memories that fade
this is the land of dreams
& secrets lay here waiting in the shade
of old knowing trees & haunted troubled seas.

he sinks into the dessert
with nothing on his mind
but those lavender cobwebbed empty eyes
the sunset ripples through his soul
and the girl he saw
will never know
both create the ebb and flow
of endless unrequited souls
he sails the sea of misery
& thinks of nothing less
but the beauty that is flowing through dream lands sands
he saw her floating in the air
with the black bird of lethargy nestled in her dark ashen hair,
her eyes gleamed lilac & cloudly grey
but her dreams shone brighter every day

the bird sat nestled all content
until the dark had gone and went
the light was coming, far too bright
the light was coming -- she'd not give up without a fight.
her dreams shone brighter than ever before
breaking free they shook him too the core
the bird jumped free and flew away
and slowly the cobwebs of grey left those eyes
she was fully, bravely, freshly alive.

a new bird now found its way into her hair
a bird of hope & it settled down with tender care
allowed some space for its mate to follow
a beautiful glowling bright red swallow
and thoughts of passion filled her head
& she saw the boy & took away all of his sorrow
so they could both live & have a brighter tomorrow.
