Deserted


Thousands of miles away Across an ocean, and maybe a bay There you were in the desert sand Afraid for your safety in that far away land Around you, the bombs were exploding Here at home, our heart were eroding Yellow ribbons were hung on the trees I was at home praying, down on my knees All we wanted was a safe return To know you would not come home in an urn
