Deserted

In the dark I paw around, Trying not to make a sound. In the dark I weep, While everyone else loiters asleep. Hating myself, yet loving your light For you are the guiding brightness in my blight. Heard thus unheard, I am sequestered into the umbra of dare All these plastic expressions are veiled with false care. Not even a splash could be heard all that left unsaid, The ink-stained floor being forgotten, just left to bled. Silence is all that believed malleable, Cotton stuffed into the seams, Stitched back together so no imperfections would be seen, For what would darkness be when there’s no black to complete the team?
